Unlocking every child's potential

Mission, Aims and Values

Luke 8:15  But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

Mission and Ethos Statement of the School

At Rawdon St. Peter’s C of E Primary School, we seek to provide all our pupils with a high-quality educational experience. We pride ourselves on providing a rich and caring environment, where each child is valued, feels secure and cared for. Adults in school nurture qualities within each child, unlocking their potential, helping them grow and flourish into young people who are confident to have a go and can persevere even when life become more challenging.

Our key Christian values of love and friendship, honesty, endurance, thankfulness, and fairness, permeate every aspect of school life. We recognise the importance of developing pupils’ spirituality and moral code within the context of the Christian community and faith. Our links with St Peter’s Church are strong and the school is active in its contribution to the wider community and works closely with a number of local organisations including local charities.

Luke 8:15:  But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

Positive relationships and mutual respect are the bedrock of our school. We are proud of our inclusive approach, including our partnership with the NWSILC, alongside our focus on personal development, the impact of which can be seen through our high standards of behaviour and achievement. We work closely with parents and carers in partnership to ensure that pupils attend school regularly and are fully supported in their learning. Our school community knows that education is important and for every child to reach their full potential they must attend school regularly and on time.

Rawdon St. Peter’s is a partner in the Aireborough Learning Trust. We work closely with all the other schools in the Trust through school-to-school support in order to raise standards and support school improvement. We are committed to the professional development of our staff and the continued enhancement of our high academic standards through both our curricular and extra-curricular provision.

Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.

Our roots - a family of support and building on our many skills.

Our fruits - our endeavour is to develop young, resilient individuals who leave our school with a sense of awe and wonder, and with a set of life skills to help them continue their journey through life and learning.
